We had a Birthday: cinnamon peach-cherry crumble

So this is going to look bad…I promise I haven’t given up after three days

We had a birthday, something I face with a “whatever you want, you get” kind of attitude. Tonight, that was pizza rolls and a peach cherry crumble.

But just look at it…you cannot go wrong. It counts as fruit, right?

This is probably one of the easiest desserts ever to be created. Dump a couple cans of pie filling into a glass dish (I just used a glass pie dish), and top it with a mixture of oats, brown sugar, walnuts and butter. So good, and when you’ve just finished off a giant plate of pizza bites, it really hits the spot.

Filling:

2 small cans of pie filling (I used 3 because this is a large dish)

Topping:

1 1/2 cups oats
1 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
3/4 cup melted butter
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Grease the dish then add the filling. I used 2 small cans of peach and 1 can of lite cherry filling (minus a lot of the sauce)

Next, mix all the ingredients for the topping and spread evenly over the top.

Pop it into the oven for 25 minutes (until the top is golden brown).

Tips:

  1. must must must top it with ice cream or whipped topping
  2. try it warmed for dessert and cold for a super indulgent, unhealthy breakfast
